Rebecca has been treating me on and off now since 2009. Being a sportsperson, she has an active understanding of the strain the body is put under when taking part in sports. I have presented her with number of challenges – falling from 12ft, whiplash, crushed ribs, to name a few. All of which she has gotten to the bottom of quickly and effectively. I have recommended her to a number of other horse riders and will continue to do so.She is a vital part of my competitive preparation.

I have been receiving Osteopathic treatment from Rebecca since 2008. I can honestly say I look forward to my appointments with her ; I think this is because I not only feel physically better afterwards but come away with solutions and ideas to both prevent and manage my postural problems. I like the way she tailors your exercises to your specific sport which makes them more achievable and more practically applied without the need for special equipment. She is the first person I want to talk to after any injury and i have implicit trust in her capabilities and expertise. In fact she finds the problem spots on you before you’ve even mentioned them ! Equally however, if there is another therapist more suited to your injury she will say so and refer you on. After a serious sporting injury sustained during sking recently she not only helped me understand more about it but gave me advice i needed in order to maximise recovery and prevent further deterioration during the long wait for a scan and clinical diagnosis. 1 year on I was back on the slopes and enjoying it again.
I have no hesitation in recommending Rebecca, in fact I already have! My 84 year old mum has been recently benefitting too after a diagnosis of a painful degenerative spinal condition. Rebecca not only helped her understand her condition but gave her the needed hope she needed and confidence that she could/would improve. Whilst waiting for her diagnosis my mum received treatment for the secondary problems it had caused which in turn reduced the pain she was in. With helpful advice on her physical limits and the maintenance treatment she now receives she is back to doing most of the things she was doing beforehand and we are both very grateful.

I saw Rebecca all throughout my pregnancy and continue to see her now my daughter is born. The treatment definitely helped, particularly in the last trimester when I felt very uncomfortable and struggled to sleep. She is fantastic, explains everything as she goes and I always leave feeling much better. She is the first person my family turn to with any issues, from bad backs to sports injuries.

I first went to see Rebecca following my release from hospital after suffering a herniated disc and subsequent continued discomfort and the limiting effects on my hobbies including mountain biking. I was having repeated issues with pain throughout my lumbar region, radiating in to my hips and legs which never seemed to go away. This in turn aggravated the situation and caused quite a bit of stress, and my back felt tight in lots of different areas. After my first session, I already felt a lot looser, more open and the aches had subsided a lot and continued to with each visit.
Do to complexities with my injury and the structure of my back I have continued to visit Rebecca for ongoing treatment regularly and now wouldn’t trust anyone else with my back. I found the overall approach to my treatment to be a very pleasant and easily understood experience. Rebecca always makes me feel extremely relaxed in a warm, friendly and comfortable environment and she also gave me some exercises which are easy to repeat throughout the day. Rebecca is also very easy to talk to, has virtually unlimited heroic and interesting stories of her own and is a pleasure to know.

I’ve seen Rebecca for treatment numerous times over the past 8 years, mainly due to sporting injuries that I have picked up along the way.
She takes a holistic approach to treatment, not necessarily treating the site of the pain but instead identifying the cause of the problem. She has an excellent way of educating the patient in what is happening to their body, how she can help, what they can do to improve their condition and how to prevent a similar injury occurring. I now take a much more proactive approach to keeping my body healthy and would hesitate to book an appointment when I first notice that I am in pain instead of suffering in silence and hoping that it will improve on its own.

I have spent much of the last year craning over a computer or a desk studying for exams which has given me a stiff neck, shoulders and thoracic spine.
I came to see Rebecca who took a thorough history, examined me and released the tension from my neck/ shoulders/ back. Straight after treatment, I already had more mobility and have been back several times for a sort out since. With more exams round the corner I will certainly be back over the next few months. Thank youand keep up the good work!
Nick (32), Anaesthetist
A couple of years ago whilst riding our off-road motorbikes in South Africa I came off and dislocated my left shoulder. Unfortunately, it wasn’t the first time, and I had also broken my collarbone twice during my youth. Thankfully our paramedic was on hand to put it immediately back in place but just having it in place wasn’t enough, the pain was excruciating and we were only half way through our trip! I had to get better and fast! Rebecca was on the trip with us and offered to take away some of that weight and discomfort with kinesio taping. Amazingly after only one day of rest I was able to jump back on the motorbike and make it all the way to the end!
Bearing in mind my lifestyle, since then I have visited Rebecca periodically to make sure that everything is still place and I can enjoy/perform at the top of my game! Many thanks Rebecca! When’s our next appointment?
